Kati Sebestyén Hungarian-Belgian violinist is former professor from the Brabants Conservatorium Holland, the world famous Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth where she was several years long “professor extraordinaire”, as well as ex-violin professor and head of the string department at the Royal Conservatory Brussels.

In 2005 she took part in the working of the “Comité Artistique” of the Queen Elisabeth Violin competition. 

Nowadays she is violin professor at the Prins Claus Conservatorium – Hanze University in Groningen, the Netherlands.

She was and still is invited as a member of jury’s or to hold master-classes: Mozarteum Salzburg; Université de Rouen; University of North Carolina; Hannover-Goslar, Lübeck; CIM Morges; Conservatory Reykjavik; Franz Liszt Academy Budapest; Carl Nielsen Academy Odense; Instituto Superior de Veracrux - Xalapa, Mexico; etc.

As violinist and chamber music player, she performed on recitals or Radio-TV recordings in the most of European countries and in the USA. She was member of the “Haydn Quartet”, violin-conductor from the chamber orchestra “Sebastian Strings” and founder member of the “Contrasts” chamber music ensemble. With those ensembles she made several CD recordings for EMS. She is holder of numerous European cultural - musical distinctions.
