Armenian-born Marianna Shirinyan is one of Europe’s most sought-after and creative pianists. Known for her vibrant and virtuosic musicianship, she excels both as a soloist and chamber musician. With her technical brilliance, tonal beauty, and deep sensitivity, she brings a broad repertoire to life. Her love for music and joy in sharing it with audiences are evident in her performances.
Shirinyan has received prestigious accolades, including Danish Broadcasting Corporation’s P2 Award for her contributions to Danish music and the Danish Critics Prize. In 2022, she was honored with the Carl and Anne-Marie Nielsen Award.
A frequent guest at renowned festivals like Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Bodensee Festival, Schwetzinger Festspiele, and Bergen’s Festspillene, Shirinyan has solidified her reputation as a leading pianist of her generation. She has performed with many major orchestras, including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of renowned conductors such as Andrey Boreyko, Lawrence Foster, and Joshua Weilerstein.

Marianna Shirinyan is a Steinway Artist. From 2015-2024 she has been a piano professor at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Since 2024 Marianna is professor at the Royal Danish academy of Music in Copenhagen.
