With his characteristic warm sound and sensitive interpretation, Lech Antonio Uszynski has become one of the most sought-after viola players of his generation.
As a soloist and chamber musician he has played in concert halls that include the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Philharmonie in Berlin, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Tonhalle in Zurich, Wigmore Hall in London and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. In June 2022 he had his critically acclaimed Solo Debut at the NFM in Wrocław under the direction of Krzysztof Urbański.
He is also a regular guest at international prestigious festivals. As a chamber musician he has collaborated with artists such as Vilde Frang, Christian Tetzlaff, Julian Rachlin, Antoine Tamestit, Soyoung Yoon, Yulianna Avdeeva and Dmitri Sitkovetsky and many others. Lech Antonio Uszynski has been the Stradivari Quartet’s viola player since 2010 and enjoyed great acclaim with this ensemble on international concert stages.
Additionally, to his performance as chamber musician and soloist, he has been invited in the past years as Principal Viola by the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, the Gstaad Festival Orchestra, the Sinfonieorchester Basel, the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and various chamber orchestras.
In addition to his wide stylistic range as a performer, he is also passionate about teaching and gives masterclasses around the world. Lech Antonio Uszynski is professor of Viola at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague.
2019 his solo album “Progetto Gibson” was released by
RCA Red Seal (Sony Classical). The pieces on this recording are related to Antonio
Stradivari's famous "Gibson" Viola, 1734, which Lech Antonio Uszynski
played from 2010-2017. In 2018 his quartet released two recordings (Works by
Schumann & Schubert) for RCA Red Seal.
Currently he performs on a rare Viola made in 1690 by
Hendrick Willems.
Charakterystyczny, ciepły dźwięk oraz wrażliwa interpretacja sprawia, iż Lech Antonio Uszynski jest jednym z najbardziej rozchwytywanych altowiolistów swojego pokolenia.
Jako solista i kameralista występował we wspaniałych salach koncertowych, takich jak w Elbphilharmonie w Hamburgu, Konzerthaus w Berlinie, Philharmonie w Berlinie, Konzerthaus w Wiedniu, Tonhalle w Zurychu, Wigmore Hall w Londynie oraz Suntory Hall w Tokio. W czerwcu 2022 r. miał doceniony przez krytykę debiut solowy w NFM we Wrocławiu pod dyrekcją Krzysztofa Urbańskiego.
Jest również stałym gościem międzynarodowych prestiżowych festiwali. Współpracował z takimi wybitnymi artystami jak Vilde Frang, Christian Tetzlaff, Julian Rachlin, Antoine Tamestit, Soyoung Yoon, Yulianna Avdeeva oraz Dmitri Sitkovetsky. Od 2010 roku Lech Antonio Uszynski jest członkiem kwartetu Stradivari, z którym koncertuje na międzynarodowych estradach koncertowych.
Dodatkowo do występów jako kameralista i solista, w ostatnich latach był zapraszany jako prowadzący altowiolista przez Królewską Filharmonię Sztokholmską, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, Sinfonieorchester Basel, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester i inne zespoły.
Oprócz szerokiego spektrum stylistycznego jako wykonawca, jego pasją jest także nauczanie i prowadzenia warsztatów mistrzowskich po całym świecie. Lech Antonio Uszyński jest profesorem altówki w Royal Conservatoire The Hague.
