Prof. Christian Brunnert, Cello
Comes from an Hamburg musical family and started Cello at the age of 13.
He studied Cello at the Musikhochschule Hamburg and after with Zara Nelsova in Cincinnati (USA).
1974 he won 1. Prize at the Chamber music Competition in Colmar (France), in 1978 he won 2. Prize at the ARD Wettbewerb München.
Since 1981 1. Solocellist in the Beethovenorchester Bonn and also since 1997 Professor for Cello at the Kölner Musikhochschule.
In 2002 he started in the Goldberg String Trio and almost played for twenty years in it.
Christian Brunnert plays a Cello from G. Grancino (1698) or a Cello from S.Peter Greiner. Bonn 2009.
